“PRAY FOR ME” is a post-modern psychological mystery set in present day New York. Utilizing green screen techniques, the fabric and textures of the surrealistic odyssey can be achieved on a very on a limited budget.
“PRAY FOR ME” is the story of priest, Steven Holland, who becomes disillusioned with his faith and the way society seems to be crumbling around him. His world begins to tilt when he walks by an old transient who desperately begs to be forgiven for something he did a very long time ago.
At first, Father Holland dismisses the transients request, thinking it to be the rantings of a madman. Yet as time goes on the transients' plea becomes desperate enough to garner a few minutes of his time. The transient proceeds to tell a tale that goes far beyond Father Hollands ability to comprehend its underlying message. Despite his hesitation, Father Holland agrees to the transients request and is soon propelled into a situation where those around him begin to question his mental stability.
His quest for answers takes him on a bizarre journey to a place where the inhabitants survive by feeding on themselves and where political domination is the only way to suppress a terrible secret that has been kept for centuries. Father Holland becomes consumed within this world and suddenly discovers that he is not only fighting for his sanity, but for his very soul.
“PRAY FOR ME” is a surrealistic journey into one mans battle for sanity, in an environment that has him questioning everyone and everything. It is a thought-provoking mystery that gets under the skin and into the mind.
